The village was mentioned for the first time in 1451. The village was owned by the Drugeth family. We can find reference about the mill from 1715. The dwellers dealt with stonemasonry in the middle of the 18th century. In the 19-th century there was a smeltery for processing iron ore. A wooden manor-house was situated in the village by the year 1926. In the centre of the village are the ruins of a watermill. The Roman Catholic church is from 1912.
